OVERVIEW
The Times Square Alliance is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization founded in 1992. The Alliance works to improve and promote Times Square by “cultivating the creativity, energy, and edge that have made the area an icon of entertainment, culture and urban life for over a century.” (courtesy Timessquarenyc.org)
I partnered with the Alliance in redesigning their content-rich website from the ground up. Website planning began with user research, Salesforce CRM data integration planning, Drupal 7 CMS Admin configuration, site mapping, and wireframes. Aesthetically, I lead the project’s fully responsive design considering new client branding while taking advantage of an extensive history of Times Square photography. The original site was strategically audited and re-organized to properly feature its vast retail and attraction listings (Broadway, Dining, Entertainment, Shopping.) It also featured current and upcoming live events so locals and visitors to the area could better navigate and explore the district. I also designed custom, branded interactive maps that featured these listings and offered directions via Google Maps API.
